WAISER PTE LTD (referred to herein as ‘Waiser’, ‘us’, ‘we’, or ‘our’) take the privacy of your Personal Data seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how Waiser collects, uses, and discloses information, and what choices you have with respect to such information.

As you use the services and interact with the website, Waiser collects and processes information from and about you in order to provide you with access to the Service, enhance your experience while using the services, and interact with you.

References to “Waiser” throughout the policy mean the Waiser entity that acts as the data controller or data processor of your information, as explained in more detail below. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not access or use the Product, Service, Website, or any other part of Waiser’s business.

This Data Protection Policy, your browsing of our website, and use of our applications and/or digital services, shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Singapore and applies to all personal data collected by WAISER PTE LTD.

Subject to your rights at law, you agree to be bound by the prevailing terms of this Data Protection Policy as updated from time to time on our websites, applications, and digital services. The Process

By interacting with us, submitting information to us, or signing up for any products and services offered by us, you agree and consent to Waiser, as well as our respective representatives, partners and agents collecting, using, disclosing and sharing amongst themselves your Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to Waiser’s authorised service providers and relevant third parties in the manner set forth in this Data Protection Policy.

We collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes: 

1.  creating and maintaining your profile in our system database for internal records and reference;

2. providing customer service and support;

3. responding to your queries, feedback, complaints and requests;

4. managing the administrative and business operations complying with internal policies and procedures;

5. in connection with any contracts, claims, actions or proceedings (including but not limited to drafting and reviewing documents, transaction documentation, obtaining legal advice, and facilitating dispute resolution), and/or protecting and enforcing our contractual and legal rights and obligations;

6.   meeting or complying with any applicable rules, laws, regulations, codes of practice or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory bodies which are binding on Waiser (including but not limited to responding to regulatory complaints, disclosing to regulatory bodies and conducting audit checks, due diligence and investigations);

7.  In relation to particular products and services or in your interactions with us, we may also have specifically notified you of other purposes for which we collect, use or disclose your Personal Data. If so, we will collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for these additional purposes as well, unless we have specifically notified you otherwise.

13. administering and conducting information sessions, courses, events and programmes (including facilitating registration, recording attendance, event budgeting and contacting you for administrative purposes);

14.  facilitating your use of our online portals;

15.  any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.

We reasonably protect your Personal Data against unauthorised disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be disclosed by us, for the purposes listed above (where applicable), to the following entities or parties:

1.  Partners, collaborators, investors, agents, contractors or third party service providers who provide business and operational services to us, such as courier service, telecommunication, information technology, payment, printing, billing, payroll, processing, technical service, consultancy, training, security, or other services to us;

2.  banks, and their respective service providers;

3.  our professional advisers such as consultants, auditors and lawyers;

4. relevant government ministries, regulators, statutory boards or authorities or law enforcement agencies to comply with any laws, rules, guidelines and regulations or schemes imposed by any governmental authority;

5.  any other party whom you authorise us to disclose your Personal Data to.

 

Security and Rights

We always require that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect data when it is processed. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised or unlawful access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks.

Secure servers are used to store your information. Access is provided through a strict Identification and Access Management (IAM) process. Anonymized data access with confidentiality restrictions are in place along with Non-disclosure Agreement.

We follow cryptographic protocols like the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and other similar encryption technologies to secure transactions in our website and other products.

However, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any Personal Data we may have collected from or about you, or that for example no harmful code will enter our websites, applications, and digital services (for example viruses, bugs, trojan horses, spyware or adware). You are kindly advised to be aware of the risks associated with using websites, applications, and digital services.

If applicable, you undertake to keep your username and password secure and confidential and shall not disclose or permit it to be disclosed to any unauthorised person, and to inform us as soon as reasonably practicable if you know or suspect that someone else knows your username and password or believe the confidentiality of your username and password has been lost, stolen or compromised in any way or that actual or possible unauthorised transactions have taken place. We are not liable for any damages resulting from any security breaches, on unauthorised and/or fraudulent use of your username and password.

 

The Do Not Call (“DNC”)

We do not engage in telemarketing activities. We reach out and engage mostly through online mediums like email and SMS. We do postal and in-person communication only when it is required by laws, regulations, contracts, and/or by organisational policies.

We maintain consent of our stakeholders, except those who have contractual and or business obligations, to contact them. We also maintain a register of the time and medium through which a consent or non-consent is obtained to manage our stakeholders’ rights to privacy.

Telephone calls to stakeholders with whom we have an established service relationship are permitted unless they have asked to be included on the internal Do Not Call list.

The personal data stays with us until the service ends among involved parties. For non-customers and general subscribers we keep the information until the consent is revoked by the related parties. We keep anonymized data for analytical research, risk analysis and business projections. 

 

Cookies Policy

A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer when you visit certain websites. All web-browsers offer the option to refuse any cookie, and if you refuse our cookie then we do not gather any information on that visitor.

We use third party platforms and products to deliver services to you, including our website. All service providers have either been carefully vetted and/or are industry standard (Google, WordPress etc). We encourage you to familiarise yourself with their data protection policies as well.

While we currently do not use any custom-developed cookies on our website for any purpose, our third party service providers may so please take note when you are being directed to another website. When you visit our website, we only collect aggregate statistics on browsing activity and do not track anything which can be used to identify you.

We update and manage our policy to comply with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), Singapore.
